Management of media data
Since the media data, especially in the case of videos, involve larger amounts of data in the mega-byte range, it is no longer possible to store this data in the database.
Therefore, eXtra4<gemID> manages the media data in its own directory structure.
Thus, the media data can also be saved via this directory and, above all, copied to external computers for field service use and made accessible for presentation in the field.
Directory structure
Within the media directory, eXtra4<gemID> independently creates subdirectories for storing the media data.
Stone class directories
On the first directory level, the structure is made into brick classes.
Thus, for example, for "Rubies - Mozambique - dark red - untreated" results in the directory
> P:\Media\RUMZDRU\ <
Stone article directories
In this directory, the individual stones each get their own subdirectory named after the stone code
Thus, for example, the following directory would result for a single stone.
> P:\Media\AMETBRX\AMETBRX0010004CAC0000600M080060\ <
Any number of files can be managed within the stone item directories themselves.
