Quantity Stones

A combination of several stones of the same quality, with possibly slight differences in the carat number

Weight stones

A combination of many stones of the same quality, usually so small that counting the individual stones is out of the question and the quantification of the stones is done only by the carat number.

Mixed Lots

A combination of several stones of different quality whose individual value or number does not justify their management as a set.

The delimitation and evaluation of which combination of stones is still managed as a "mixed lot" and not yet as a "set" must be weighed up individually.
